I had such a great time last night!

Well the show was great!

We had a little snaffu on the way driving there. Hubby had me drive, and lets just say driving in DC is not my fortay. I get very nervous and anxious driving in town. And we didnt know 100% where we were going either. but we found it and parked and had dinner at the Kennedy Center. Not in the 'high faluting' restaurant, in the Cafe.

I really enjoyed the show, it was great, at intermission, Hubby said he was having a good time and that he was enjoying the show too-Regardless that it was a musical! Hubby bought me a silver charm bracelet with Wicked charms and he got himself a green monkey 'pre-wings'

Now, here is where I am a tad disappointed with the difference in the book and the show...

In the book Elphaba's mother allows a drifter 'Turle Heart' to stay with them while her preacher father goes out on revivals across the land. The book leads you to believe that Turle Heart is Nessarose's father, Nessarose is Elphaba's sister. Her father knew that her mother was carrying on with this man. They were worried that the new baby would end up like Elphaba so their Nanny got some pills in a gypsy town for her mother to take, thats what messes up Nessarose.
In the show, the Wizard ends up being Elphaba's fater, after her mother has an affair with him while her father is out of town. But you dont know its the Wizard at the beginning.

And in the show when Elphaba goes to see the Wizard to ask for assistance about the treatment of the Animals, he asks her to read from a book, she does and ends up casting a spell making monkeys have wings. These monkeys are to be spies for the Wizard. She is horrified once she see's the Wizard for what he really is, a fluke.
In the book, Elphaba sews raven wings on Chickery, her monkey.

Here is what the show leaves out...
In the book, Elphaba leaves school and goes into hiding after her meeting with the Wizard gets nothing accomplished and she see's hes a fluke. None of her classmates see her again for 5 years. Fiero spots her one day and they start to see each other, he has no idea how deeply involved she is in her qwest. Over time, she catches on that Madame Morrible, the head mistress at her old school, is not as she seems, and she attempts to kill her. She is caught before she can complete her task and ends up at a monastery, there she gives birth to her and Fiero's child, but she does not know this, she is in a coma for years. Fiero dies and Elphaba leaves the monastery with the child and a monkey companion. Elphaba remembers Fiero speaking of his castle and she goes there to live, and there she finds Fiero's wife and children, they were married since they were 13. Elphba does not tell Fiero's wife who she is or that her son is Fiero's.

Theres more stuff that was missing, but all in all, the show was really good!

I'M GOING TO SEE WICKED!!!!

OH my goodness, I am going to see WICKED!!!!

My husband surprised me for Christmas with two tickets to see the show this Wednesday (tomorrow) night!

I have no idea how he got them.. said he had connections....
I dont know if he was planning to get them since I had that fit in October about them being sold out as they were advertising them on the radio...

He thought I would take someone else to go. And thats very nice for him to buy a pair and let me take whomever I wanted. But I want him to take me.
Anyway, Sophie is in England for a few days, and Mom's at home with baby guy.
So he has to take me...nyah!

I also got two new pieces of Tiffany & Co to add to my growing collection- a Venetian link bracelet and a Hook and Eye ring. Oh La La! he said he stole a ring from me to take to them to size it up. I never noticed... he's good....

We decided to leave Baby guy at Mom's for a few days. She was going to scoop him up on either Wednesday or Thursday and take him up to see my Grandparents, and then have him home on Saturday. And then later that day, Hubby's dad is coming to scoop him up for the night on New Years Eve. Works out great b/c hubby has a show on New Years eve-which will be a good time!

Sophie bought a Lot of 10 dresses for only 20 bucks. We are adding some finishing touches and doing some sewing work and going to wear them to the show. Out of the 10, we each found one that fits us and there was a dress in there for my other friend Nicole to wear....Which she had better wear or I will kick her in the butt when I see her.

anyway thats all for now gotta run

So Little Miss Ignorance is gone gone gone

'Happy days are here again...'

The moving company is picking up her belonging's today and she's out of my hair for good now! Well with the exception of her monthly meetings with customers...
But for the most part, shes gone!

All presents have been purchased and wrapped up and are set to go.
I never got the brakes on the truck checked but I'm sure they'll be fine. Oil has been changed and the rear differential changed out.

I didn't get what I wanted to get for my husband, because a certain Shock Jock has 'retired' from radio and moving to satellite in a matter of weeks. Every plug and play receiver for this satellite company is sold out in each and every store I check...So I had to make due with what I could....

I have to run to Best Buy and try to find a car adapter for the portable DVD player.

I am sitting here and work and I am so bored, I am contemplating purchasing a small Watchman like a hand held tv...

I have to go... god these people actually expect me to work about here

Once again, I have nothing to say... Nothing nice to say...

bah humbug.

Well no actually scratch that..

I do have stuff to say

Remember 'Crunch Mode'?

It's now 'Crumble Mode'

Seems a converation with a certain person was totally forgotten about and I cannot do as I had planned this weekend. Or I can do as I had planned however I need to find a certain sitter, to help me out with a certain young person, so I don't have to drag this young person all over creation and back, while I complete all the tasks and stuff I need to do to make this a MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS

So now I have to go out with all the other idiots on a Friday night and attempt to get everything I wanted to get tonight, instead of at my leisure tomorrow.

Or I can say Screw it all, I just don't give a RATS FUCKING ASS about ANY of this STUPID BULLSHIT anymore. Piss on trying to find gifts for people who are so goddamned difficult to buy for and it seems they are never happy with what you spent weeks agonizing over what to get them.
From now on I will be the ATM Santa, "Here, just take a 25 dollar AMEX gift check and SHUT THE HELL UP AND GO AWAY!"

I am officially in 'Crunch Mode'

Ahhhh the last few weeks til Christmas...

What a fucking circus!

I have so much to do, my head hurts from thinking about it.

Here is my list:

Get hair cut and highlights touched up
Get nails done
Purchase Baby guy's gifts to open at Lulu's house on Christmas.
Get my Secret Santa his gift
Get Lulu and Wayne a neat-o gift
Find Cole a gift by this Sunday
Wrap hubbys gift(s)
Wrap Sophie's gift that Baby guy is giving her (actually it's from me, but don't tell her)
Get oil changed in truck, possibly have a brake job done
Get my niece her gifts and wrap them
send out Christmas cards

Ughhh Next year will be even worse, we will definitely HAVE to decorate the house next year. This year we slacked, we wont be home, and baby guy has no idea whats going on anyway. But we will have decent pictures using her decorations as a back drop.

Yesterday when I got to work and opened up my e-mail, I found that I had been awarded points for my work on installing my customer's 2 large networks. Each point equals a dollar. There is a catalog that my company has that you shop from with your points. Yesterday I treated myself to a small Coach purse, a Coach wallet/keychain and Swarovski crystal earrings. I was awarded points before for my work on this same project but by my Manager and I bought a portable DVD player, Which will come in handy for our trip to my Mom's so baby guy can watch.

Well thats all for now...

I have nothing to say.
Well, nothing nice to say...

Been too long...

Well... Lot's of things to cover today...

Happy Birthday to my Husband. I hope he enjoys his gifts that I gave to him. Unfortunately he has to wait 4 to 6 weeks for one of them, but he's ok with that.

Baby guy is doing great, his personality is really coming out, he can be so stubborn and freaking out one minute, the next he's loving on me and using me as a jungle gym.

Hubby had his job interview earlier this week... Fingers crossed. He will find out Monday.

And a special thanks (insert sarcasm here) to my best friend Nicole for her Lotto Ticket chain letter.
If it works out, and everyone I pass it on to actually follows through, then I will get a shitload of lotto scratch tickets in the mail.... Maybe I will win big time.

Baby guy saw Santa earlier this week. Like a bunch of idiots we were out on the snow shopping at the mall and there wasn't much of a line. His picture with Santa turned out wonderful! Somehow his hair ended up red, I'm still trying to figure that one out. But he's smiling and he liked Santa. Next year he will know who that big fat guy with the beard is.

Sophie just ix-nayed my request to send her a letter, we'll piss on her! She don't need buttloads of lottery tickets no-how!

whoo weee!

Gotta run
